Landreeve was contacted by one its local authority clients who needed advice on a multi-operator wayleave agreement, which was to be granted to a company allowing them to install one set of fibre optic ducts in a residential tower block capable of hosting multiple fibre optic internet providers.
The local authority was supportive of the proposal as it would reduce the number of different providers installing equipment and therefore neaten up the number of ducts running through the building, as well as meaning the company would deal with any requests from fibre optic internet providers.
We carried out a thorough review of the wayleave agreement, making suggested amendments. Our quote also included the cost of a review from a specialist telecoms solicitor, so our client benefitted from both surveyors and solicitors advice on the agreement and the implications of the New Code.
